The Helen Johnson Cremeens Excellence In Teaching Award

Applications for the Helen Johnson Creemens Excellence in Teaching Award  our now being accepted.                              Deadline for submission is April 9, 2021. 

Helen Johnson Creemens, taught nursing for 23 years during her 40 years as a practicing registered nurse.  She began teaching at the Baton Rouge Vocational Technical School in 1961.  She was a department head of the BR Vocational Technical School of Practical Nursing from 1975 until her retirement in 1984. 

In honor of Helen, her husband established an endowed Scholarship Fund through the Baton Rouge Area Foundation to honor her as a professional nurse and recognize her many nurse educator achievements.
